The One With The Word Ninjas
September 29th, 2009
0I woke up this morning two hours before my alarm and started writing this blog post in my head. I was talking about community management, the advantages of social media, yada, yada. I even had a cute acronym for community management. But none of that will appear in this post today. I’m sorry.
I won’t use any of those lame excuses about my dog eating my notes or my grandma breaking her hip while line dancing. I’ll be honest. This morning I was attacked by virtual word ninjas. Seriously. They jumped out of the screen and high-ya’d my face BEFORE my morning Red Bull. Obviously I was in no condition to fight back. Before I knew it I was in a 1966 Batman comic and colorful words were flying at me.

Nightmare on Elm Street has been remade thanks to Michael Bay. The trailer exclusively debuted on Myspace and went viral … in just under 24 hours there have been more than 1 million video views…

… Myspace is trying to rebrand itself as an entertainment portal to compete with Facebook and it’s pushing forward. The site not only debuted the Michael Jackson This Is It trailer, but the site was also the first to release the track list for the New Moon soundtrack.
It’s been a crazy morning so far folks. You can see why it’s impossible to work after that ninja attack. I thought only bands and people who liked shiny blinking GIF files were on Myspace. And Nightmare On Elm Street is a classic! Are all seven movies going to be remade Michael-Bay-style? Oh god… is NOES the next SAW series?!
Are people really excited for this remake? Wasn’t The New Nightmare a remake of sorts? Is it possible that the kids going to see it really don’t know about the original? Is Myspace really making a comeback? More importantly, why does Freddy have a weird accent?!
