New Company Aims to Humanize the Internet Experience

July 22nd, 2009

Border Stylo emerges with wrecking ball in hand to eliminate Internet walls

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., July 22, 2009 – Border Stylo, a technology company bent on eliminating the walls erected by today’s Internet technology emerged from stealth mode today. The two-year-old startup is developing a communication platform that humanizes the Internet experience by empowering individuals and removing the barriers that currently dictate one’s Internet experience.

With a diverse staff — some of whom were born in Mexico, others educated at Harvard and the University of Southern California, with experience in the entertainment industry, and former Apple and Proctor & Gamble employees — Border Stylo is challenging the Internet’s status quo, eradicating borders, and developing solutions that put control firmly into the hands of the user.

“Border Stylo’s philosophy is focused on eliminating the walled garden that is the current Internet experience, through three key tenets: transparency, decentralization and anonymity,” said Diego Prats, CEO of Border Stylo. “The Internet today is a very solitary experience; dictated by technology which drives behavior. Our goal is to give control back to the user and bring people together, rather than the current system that creates technological borders between people.”

Border Stylo’s first offering is in final development and slated to begin beta testing this summer. A full public launch is scheduled for fall 2009.
